There are two distinct types of air filtration in a cooker hood. The first\u00a0consists of the grease filter, which is always present in the hood and
\nplaced at the entrance to the product. The grease filter\u2019s purpose is to\u00a0protect the interior of the product, filtering the heaviest grease particles
\nfrom the air. These filters can be of different types of material: synthetic\u00a0(to be replaced cyclically), aluminium (washable) or aluminium filter
\ngrill, which can easily be removed from the hood and washed either by\u00a0hand with liquid soap or in the dishwasher. The second type of filter, the
\nodour filter, is present only in recycling version hoods. Their purpose is\u00a0to cleanse the air captured by the cooker hood. The traditional solution
\nconsists of a suitably shaped plastic container containing granules of\u00a0active carbon. This special carbon is able to capture and store grease,
\nhumidity and odours. These filters, due to the active carbon, must in\u00a0general be replaced every 3-4 months. For the odour filter, Elica offers a
\ntechnologically innovative alternative: the Long Life Filter. This guarantees\u00a0high efficiency combined with a very long life cycle. It does not need to
\nbe replaced frequently since it can be \u201cregenerated\u201d with a normal wash\u00a0in the dishwasher and drying in the oven for ten minutes at 100\u00b0C. If this
